Late 1940 | Alf Carlson establishes the Brad-Lynn Restaurant at 1422 20th St., featuring a smorgasbord on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Name after his children, the restaurant is run by the family until 1964. |
1964-68 | Several short-term restaurants occupy the space. |
1968 | Gus and Maxine Peterson buy the business and the Stockholm Inn is born on June 24. |
1970 | Jim and Vera Osborn purchase the restaurant, stewarding it until 1976. |
1976 | John and Elayne Bilka take over the business, growing it until it requires double the capacity and is relocated to 2420 Charles Street in March 1996. |
To Date | After 25 years of dedication and service to the community, the Bilkas retire and a local group of investors dubbed 'The Lingonberry Group', purchase the restaurant. |
